Guided tour at Montreal's Sorting Centre of Recyclable Material

Guided tour
Tour Montreal’s Sorting Center of Recyclable Material, where 200 000 tons of recyclable material is treated yearly. Owned by Groupe TIRU, this is the largest centre in Quebec tonnage-wise.

On a collection day, the center receives on average 150 truckloads of recyclable waste. This waste is sorted and treated and then close to 800 tons are transported to different recyclers.

Come and discover the sorting process where manual and automated steps are orchestrated in a skillful and precise sequence.

NO photography or video are permitted.

Dust masks will be provided and are mandatory in the sorting rooms.
