Optimize Your Package Designs for
Efficient Recovery and Reduction of Food Waste
This course is for those involved in all aspects of package design
throughout the entire life cycle, from beginning to next life.

This workshop-based packaging design course explains the tools and addresses the nuances of designing for optimization vs. reduction; clarifies the environmental impact of both; focuses on sustainable optimization of recovery and reduction of packaging; packaging best practices for food waste reduction and designing for internet retailing.

Course Content of Four Workshops

Session 1 - Why packaging optimization?
The importance of packaging and optimizing for the total value chain including on-line retailing.
Meeting the challenges of EPR, sustainability and food waste the PAC NEXT Way.
Session 2 - Designing for recovery and recycling
Taking a life cycle approach - metrics, scorecards, LCA tools
