Join your fellow PAC colleagues for a tour of Hood Packaging’s Burlington plant, the first multiwall bag plant in North America to achieve an SQF level 3 certification for food safety and quality.
Hood Packaging is a quality manufacturer of packaging materials with 20 production facilities located in Canada and the United States. They have grown by acquisition and innovation. Their oldest, continuously running business, started over 100 years ago in the Jute and Cotton trade and they have expanded their flexible packaging skills into Paper, Plastic and Woven packaging substrates as more advanced technology has developed for these products.
The Hood Packaging Paper Division, Burlington site is a PBOM (pinch bottom open mouth) specialty plant with 2 fully automated high speed in-line PBOM machines. The site also has pasted valve bag, and printing capabilities. Primary markets they service are in the food sector (flour and flour mixes, sugar, spice mixes, bakery mixes, cheese powders, dairy and soy). The site also supplies other markets such as pet food, soybean, cement and concrete mix.
Please join us in visiting Hood Packaging and celebrating one of the longest serving PAC members!
