COME TOUR THE UNILEVER REXDALE FACILITY TO SEE HOW A LEADING CPG LEVERAGES FORMIDABLE PROCESSING AND PACKAGING TO RISE TO THE NEXT HIGHER LEVEL OF FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY EXCELLENCE

There have recently been a number of far-reaching and unique changes at the Unilever Canada Rexdale spreads and dressings production facility. This plant produces some of Canada’s bestselling brands of margarine, mayonnaise, dressings and other condiments that have dominated the market for many years.

Producing a total of 100 million liters of icon brands like Becel margarine and about 38 million liters of Hellmann’s mayonnaise per year, the busy 100,000-square factory, operated since 1961, and one of Unilver’s most important manufacturing facilities in the world, supplies not only the entire Canadian market but also exports a sizeable share of its output into U.S.

The plant recently completed the new international FSSC (Food Safety Systems Certification) food safety standard of the ISO (Inter- national Standards Organization). See how a new high-efficiency batch production process has fully complemented the facility’s food safety focus and increased their waste reduction efforts. Learn about Unilever’s ‘Clean Label Initiative,” that includes equipment and modifications to its labeling and shrinksleeving capabilities already launched in the U.S.
