Dr. Mats Linder, Project Manager, New Plastics Economy, Ellen MacArthur Foundation
A chemist by training, Mats leads the Innovation Programme within the New Plastics Economy initiatives. This role involves identifying and mobilising catalytic innovation that has the potential to enable a completely new standard for how we design and execute plastics material flows.
Mats joined the Ellen MacArthur Foundation in late 2014 and has since then worked on various projects besides the New Plastics Economy, for example A toolkit for policymakers and the Project MainStream report Intelligent Assets – unlocking the circular economy potential. Before joining the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, Mats worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, following his PhD years where he split his time between research and amateur theatre.
Chris Lindberg, CEIL Director, The Natural Step Canada
Chris Lindberg leads the development and implementation of CEIL. In this role he brings public and private sector organizations together to help them understand and capture the opportunities provided by sustainability and the circular economy. Chris has more than 20 years of experience working with public and private sector organizations to develop and implement their strategic plans, engagement strategies and sustainability initiatives. Prior to joining The Natural Step Canada, Chris worked as a sustainability professional with a variety of organizations, including the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, Golder Associates, Stratos Inc. and the Light House Sustainable Building Centre. He is a proud father of two and a graduate of Simon Fraser University.
