Peter Kallai was the Founding Executive Director and then CEO, President of the Canadian Printable Electronics Industry Association (CPEIA) - that was renamed as intelliFLEX, a leading tech association dedicated to flexible and printable electronics and a partner of PAC, the Packaging Consortium for the smart packaging and smart retail oriented programs. Peter is also the President and CEO of KEYSTEP Growth & Finance. This Ottawa-based boutique consulting firm has focused on emerging technologies for 30 years. Peter is the co-founder of the intelliPACK Leadership Council, that was established with Jim Downham, CEO of PAC to help the packaging industry accelerate the learning and adoption of the smart packaging and smart retail technologies many which are based on printable and flexible electronics. The Leadership Council over the last 5 years developed a global network of tech providers, conducted business research, developed white papers, delivered conferences and training events for industry. Based on that pooled industry knowledge Peter developed the intelliPACK Course to allow companies learn systematically about these technologies, markets, use cases and applications.
As a senior high-tech management consultant, Peter has assisted leading companies in wireless communications, software and location based services with their growth plans and financing. He has been involved with the inception, growth, exit and merger or acquisition of more than 40 companies. In the role of Vice-President, he helped a TSX-listed company grow from $3.2 million to over $100 million in revenue. Peter has also served on various boards and committees of companies and public sector R&D organizations. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and a Masters in Business Administration Degree (MBA) in Strategy and Finance. Peter is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute (US).
