Solange Ackrill

Solange Ackrill has built a reputation as a brand strategy innovator with industry leaders including Walmart, Loblaw and Maple Leaf Foods. She is currently VP of Marketing and Corporate Strategy, with Club Coffee in Toronto, helping to connect consumers with the innovation they seek, while building partnerships with a diverse array of innovative coffee brands across North America. Solange is part of the team that developed and launched the World’s First 100% Certified Compostable Pods PURPOD100™ in North America. Designed with the end state in mind, leveraging consumer insights and market dynamics, Club Coffee was able to create a strong go to market position for this breakthrough innovation.

Solange is also on the Board of Directors for the Biodegradeable Products Institute (BPI) of North America, Provision Coalition, Coffee Association of Canada as well as co-chair on the Central Leadership Council for PAC.

Paul Yang
Director of Global Innovation, Tim Hortons

Paul Yang leads Innovation & Sustainability at Tim Hortons. Paul has a deep understanding of Mechanical Engineering, graduating from Queen's University with a bachelor's degree and the University of Toronto with a Masters in the field. He has worked for several leading CPG companies and has a keen passion for developing products that make people smile, not just in Canada, but around the world. His experience blends engineering project management, continuous improvement processes, product and equipment design, sustainable best practices and technical marketing.

Rhea Hale
Director of Public Policy, WestRock

As Director of Public Policy for WestRock, Rhea works with internal and external stakeholders to develop policies and customer solutions that align with WestRock's business strategy, sustainability goals, and the company's core values of integrity, respect, accountability, and excellence. 

Rhea has worked in the Forest Products Industry for 15 years. She has held various environmental policy and product stewardship roles for WestRock, MWV, the American Forest and Paper Association, and U.S. EPA.  Prior to that, she worked on design for environment and recycling programs in IBM's Engineering Center for Environmentally Conscious Products. 

Rhea holds a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University's Nicholas School of the Environment, and a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Boston College.

Dan Dickerson
Senior Manager of Strategic Marketing, WestRock

As Sr. Manager of Strategic Marketing for WestRock, Dan partners with key stakeholders to drive the Innovation, Strategic Marketing, and Commercial Enablement priorities for the Consumer Mills division, helping WestRock be the unrivaled provider of winning solutions to our customers.

Dan has worked in Strategic Marketing and Product Management for 10 years, joining WestRock in 2017. Prior to that, he held marketing and product management roles in the manufacturing sector, driving end-market growth and innovation strategy for CONCOA manufacturing.

Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Innovation and Technology Management from Virginia Tech and an MBA from St. Leo University.
