I am pleased to invite you to our sixth annual Walmart Canada Sustainable Packaging Conference, which will be held June 19th at the Toronto Congress Centre.
This important event will build on our sustainable packaging initiatives, including the Walmart packaging scorecard.
As you know, Walmart is committed to reducing its product packaging by five per cent by the end of 2013. Since we announced this goal, the industry has gained important insights into sustainable packaging. Together we have made real progress, but with less than two years left to meet our goal, we still have a lot of work ahead.
Our conference objective this year is to provide you with the latest information to ensure that together we deliver tangible progress toward our goal to reduce product packaging by five per cent, as well as our long term goal to create zero waste.
