This one day session is designed to assist plant managers and quality assurance personnel in packaging manufacturers in becoming compliant with PACsecure food safety HACCP standards for individual packaging materials.
Facilitators include Larry Shortt, former Manager of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs for Jones Packaging, the first company to become PACsecure certified; and Larry Dworkin, who serves on the Global Food Safety Initiative technical packaging work group.

Training session
The morning session will focus on good manufacturing practices for external and internal premises: transportation, receiving and storage equipment; personnel, sanitation and pest control; terrorism and security; and recall and traceability. To be followed by a break out session dealing with these issues.
The afternoon session will concentrate on the HACCP standards developed specifically for flexible plastics, rigid plastics, paper, metal, and glass packaging materials. To be followed by a break out session dealing with hazard identification and control.
