• Reviews design information including design requisitions, CAD drawings and print documentation relevant to the materials and construction of a project, through consultation with design, production and sales.

• Compiles and analyses vendor quotations, negotiating with vendors to be competitive in their costing, and clarifying any outstanding issues.
• Selects acceptable quotations amongst bids for individual component business, posting elements to the cost estimating system for cost accumulation and project pricing determination: reviews findings and quotation proposals with Project Group Manager (when and where applicable).
• Develops the ability to separate client requirements between C & B business centers; determines if client requirements should run under the Display or Corrugated manufacturing model.
• Develops familiarity with the costing levels associated with established clients, new clients and divisions within the C & B costing model.
• Gains a comprehensive understanding of machine capabilities and tolerances to create manufacturing routing for in-house fabricated components.
• Presents project pricing to Project Group Manager for review and approval based on established guidelines; makes any recommended corrections.
• Ensures integrity of records supporting estimates of costs and pricing levels for individual projects.
• Provides backup where required with coordination of critical paths for new items or major projects that are managed by an assigned Project Leader. This includes such tasks as order entry, purchase order processing, assembling factory orders, completing production related spreadsheets, among other documentation.
• Provides backup to reception on a rotating schedule.
• Other duties as assigned by the Project Group Manager or V.P.of Operations.
Education and Experience:
Post-secondary business certificate such as a two-year college or technical school diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preference given to three years of business experience in corrugated/point-of-purchase display field, with an estimating/customer service focus.
