PAC’s PIP360 Finalist in Europe’s 2021 Sustainability Awards

The 2021 Sustainability Awards, by Packaging Europe, announced Monday May 24, 2021 that PAC has been named a finalist in the Best Practice Category for PIP360 Packaging Innovation Pathway to Circularity – a measurement tool for all packaging materials.

Sustainability Awards is independently judged by an expert jury representing a cross-section of the international packaging value chain, including leading brand owners and retailers, sustainability organisations, waste management, academia and industry experts.

“It is incredibly humbling to be recognized on the global stage on the subject of sustainable packaging,” said PAC NEXT Director, Dan Lantz. “PIP360 has the potential, where packaging recycling rate data are available, to render a packaging circularity score for every package in the world. We are thrilled to be recognized by a panel of 45 world-renowned international judges.”

“This accomplishment can be credited to our PAC members and early adopters who have supported this development,” said Alan Blake, PAC NEXT US Director. “Companies are recognizing global plastics pacts, setting ambitious packaging sustainability goals for 2025 and beyond. The PIP360 online tool gives them the ability to measure and establish where they are today and provides the path to circularity in the future.”
