PAC Announces Name Change to PAC Global

PAC Packaging Consortium announced today that the not-for-profit member-based corporation is changing its name to PAC Global (pronounced “pack global”) effective January 1st, 2022.

The global brand positioning and digitization strategy is PAC’s rapid response to the dynamic and evolving international market. Watch for the first-of-its-kind packaging portal in Q1 2022.

"Since March 2020, PAC has urgently adapted to create and deliver high value for members," says Brent Heist, PAC Global, Board of Directors Chair, and Director R&D Packaging Sustainability for Procter & Gamble. "The new customized digital portal is next level and will enable clients and suppliers a quick connect to each other. It will feature the most advanced marketplace for package brand design, technical and sustainable innovation as well as world-class education.”

Believed to be the first of its kind for the industry, the member portal will focus on offering and expanding value services to PAC Global members. It will be a game-changer for companies that wish to expand visibility of their products and offerings to a captive PAC Global audience.

"This important step marks a milestone moment in our 70+ year history as a trusted source and thought leader in the global packaging industry,” says James D Downham, PAC Global President & CEO. “We are pleased to see tremendous international growth and are committed to supporting members to connect, collaborate, innovate, educate and celebrate.”

PAC is pleased to announce the addition of Beth Murray as our PAC Global Sales Director, with over 20 years of event management and sales excellence. Her track record includes 100 events and trade shows, 500,000 combined attendees, netting over $1 billion in revenue. Beth will onboard new members, connecting buyers and sellers of package goods and services.

The current PAC Global team will make minor adjustments to ensure we exceed members’ expectations, effective January 1st, 2021:

  • Lisa Abraham will serve as Operations Director, serving the everyday needs of members and supporting internal operations.
  • Lindsey Cooper will serve as Education & Events Director, overseeing and executing the broad range of education and events PAC Global hosts for our members.
  • Andrea May will lead all communications and social impact initiatives as Communications & Social Impact Director with Lauren Carlton as Marketing & Communications Coordinator, overseeing all internal and external communications and campaigns.
  • The PAC NEXT team of Alan Blake and Dan Lantz will serve as Co-Executive Directors, aligned on a geographic basis. Andrew Macdonald is promoted to PAC NEXT manager, overseeing program initiatives and the advancement of the PIP360 tool.
  • Zdenek Borovicka will lead all financial services, board reporting, government and legal relationships.
